“May this special day bring peace, happiness and prosperity to everyone. Eid Mubarak!”
What a fantastic  feeling !SubhanAllah can you feel the vibes,Yes I felt it  a few weeks ago as excitement  crept in ,The feeling and effort and the sacrifice  and the joy of purchasing  that sheep to slaughter for the pleasure of Allah. It takes you back to the story of Hazrat Ebrahim( AS ) .He was put to a test to sacrifice his son Ismaeel (AS)  and Allah place a ram in Hazrat  Ismaeel AS place ,Alhumdulillah uptil today all Muslims are practising on that Sunnah.

Eid is a very happy occasion

the atmosphere ,

the keeping up with family ties ,the exotic traditional cuisines,

the beautiful  attire,we praise Allah for that wonderful gift.Whilst we enjoy ourselves

Did you  give a thought about those underprivileged who cannot celebrate like you can ?

Did you ever think of keeping  a portion of your sacrificial lamb or Udhiyyah for your poor neighbour?

Did you ever think of inviting a poor widow to come and enjoy a sumptuous  meal with you?

Did you ever think of organising  a braai for the poor orphans in your community ?

Did you ever wonder if you would see another Qurbani again?

The answers to these questions  can be only answered by you alone and  no one else.

This year and the previous year has been very different  for me and my family, since my beloved passed away,It was kinda sad as we miss his awesome  company, as usual,we all got up to a lovely eid breakfast, the day before that my wonderful  daughters surprised me with some lovely and yummy goodies  they baked for Eid,we later went to the farm where we slaughtered our Udhiyya;it was so exciting  and I really loved how the kids  witnessed the entire scenario  unfolding. This Festival  should be a memorable  and rewarding occasion  every year, children  should know and learn all these important  aspects of their Deen InshaAllah. The Qurbani was an event to highlight  the importance of slaughtering the halaal way as well .I’m glad we spent good quality and spiritual  family time together .

I personally  felt so  beautifully excited. At the farm many exciting scenarios unfolded

,the takbeer at the time of slaughter

the cutting skinning and cleaning of the Udhiyyah

the storage  and the packaging of the  Udhiyyah

and later on the slicing at the butcher or the chunks of meat being braaied at home.

The  meat can be kept for the individual  all for himself

or divided into three shares

1/3 for the poor

1/3 for himself

1/3 for friends/family

What a wonderful vibe

what a fantastic  feeling

For three solid days we are going to experience  this wonderful  Gift from Allah bestowed  only to Muslims Alhumdulillah  And every year these festivals will be repeated over and over again InshaAllah Aameen
